We recognized a gap in the salon industry for a comprehensive, technique-driven approach to hair extensions, and we wanted to fill it with a brand that embodies both creativity and precision.

As the owner of Extology Salon and a master stylist, colorist, and hair extension expert affectionately known as “The Extologist”, Allana has the unique privilege of turning her lifelong passion into her everyday work. Her journey in the beauty industry spans years of dedication, talent, and a commitment to excellence, taking her from the bustling salons of Manhattan to the heart of Boston. Allana has honed her craft under some of the industry’s top talents at renowned salons, including Paul Labrecque, G2O, Salon Fontana, Emerge, and Kenneth Wilde. With an impressive skill set and certifications from top brands like Goldwell and Wella, plus accreditations with multiple hair extension brands, Allana’s expertise is both diverse and specialized.

Before opening Extology in 2014, Allana owned Salon Trilogy in Newton, where she gained invaluable experience in running a business while staying true to her creative vision. Her dream, however, was to build an intimate, upscale boutique salon where artistry, comfort, and client-focused service would be paramount. With Extology, she has created exactly that—a welcoming, stylish space where clients can experience the transformative power of expert hairstyling and premium hair extensions.

Allana combines her high-level skills in cutting and coloring with a perfected, personalized approach to hair extensions. She takes the time to understand each client’s unique hair texture, aesthetic goals, and lifestyle, ensuring that every session is tailored to deliver lasting beauty and confidence. Her objective is clear: to create a lifetime of exceptional hair days, both in and out of her salon chair.
